The Research Development division was established in 2008 as the Office of Proposal Development by the Vice President for Research to assist USU researchers in developing stronger and more competitive proposals for submission to external sponsors. The division was renamed Research Development in 2015. Since its establishment, the division has grown from a one-person shop to a network of multiple proposal development specialists located across campus. While the day-to-day efforts of the division focus on projects that are of strategic interest to USU and its units, our long term goals are to help researchers develop strong and successful proposal writing skills and expand the revenue created by externally funded research at USU.
Your success is our success.
