Faculty Mentor Orientation

Utah State University is proud of its longstanding tradition of significant undergraduate involvement in our research efforts. Faculty are a critical part of the educational process for these students, and the Undergraduate Research office is here to ensure that faculty have the resources and support they need to effectively mentor students through their research experiences.

Undergraduate Research Mentor Orientation is held at the start of Fall Semester and goes over the various tools, funds, and events that are available to you and your students. Whether you are new to mentoring, just getting started with a student or a veteran mentor, this orientation is valuable in alerting faculty to the ways that the UR office can assist your efforts.

We have learned that our students are most involved when encouraged by their mentors, from grant or presentation opportunities to information sessions or training. Your students are most successful when you have the information you need to guide them through their research experiences!

Dates and times will be posted closer to Fall 2019 Semester.
