Proposal Development

Getting Started as a Successful Proposal Writer and Academician

(tailored to graduate student researchers)

Getting Started as a Successful Proposal Writer and Academician is taught by the highly-reputable external grant writing training company, Grant Writers' Seminars & Workshops, LLC. This seminar is a modification of the advanced Write Winning Grant Proposals seminar. The difference is that the pace of this seminar is slower and more basic material is covered, such as the organizational structures of the major federal funding agencies, how priority scores are calculated, what facilities and administrative (indirect , overhead) cost are, and how to analyze a critique in anticipation of a resubmission. Greater emphasis is given to how one starts to build an academic career, including how to write a career development proposal.

  • This seminar is offered every Fall and Spring semester.
