The Office of Research and Graduate Studies at Utah State works with programs and departments to host an annual Weekend Visit for prospective graduate students. The next Weekend Visit is February 16-17, 2018.
As a prospective student, Weekend Visit is your chance to meet faculty and staff, check out campus, learn about research supports and explore what your program can offer you in your graduate career. Large group, small group and department activities are planned to give you a well-rounded experience during your visit.
This event is invitation-only. If you are interested in participating, please contact your department’s Graduate Program Coordinator.
On the Thursday before Weekend Visit, most students fly into Salt Lake City, check in at the University Inn and have dinner with their departments.
Work with your department contact to plan your trip. Transportation resources and campus highlights might help.

Things to Pack
Winter in Logan is cold and snowy. Pack a warm coat, a hat and gloves whether you plan to attend a winter activity on Saturday or not.
If participating in a planned winter activity on the Saturday of Weekend Visit, be sure to pack accordingly: a winter coat, a hat, a scarf, gloves, snow pants and boots.
Ski and snowboard equipment, not clothing, will be available to rent free of charge at Beaver Mountain.
If packing for a winter activity will be a challenge for you, ask your department contact if they can supply you with winter clothing.
