Diversity

USU’s graduate student population comes from a variety of backgrounds. Around two-thirds of our students come from somewhere outside Cache Valley prior to their graduate degree. We have students from all 50 states and 79 countries. Almost one in five of USU’s graduate students are international students.

USU’s Access & Diversity Center includes programming for multicultural, nontraditional, and LGBTQA programs. There are a variety of clubs and organizations you can join, including the Asian Student Union, Black Student Union, Latino Student Union, Native American Student Council, Polynesian Student Union, Nontraditional Student Association, and LIFE (Love is For Everyone). There are also events throughout the year like the annual Native American Pow Wow, Areito, Chinese New Year, and LGBTQA Program Brown Bag Support and Discussion Groups.
