Established this year, the University Microscopy Core is the first university-wide instrument laboratory offering fulltime operator support, coverage of maintenance agreements centrally, central business services support and lead by a faculty director with the guidance of a faculty advisory council.

Beginning in the fall 2014 semester, the Utah State University Office of Research and Graduate studies will be implementing a new waiver system for graduate tuition. The system will provide waivers for qualified graduate students to cover the cost of the non-resident portion of tuition.
Four Utah State University Aggies received 2013 Graduate Research Fellowships from the National Science Foundation and four more received honorable mentions in a renowned competition that rewards academic excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines.
