Supplemental Funding Opportunities
The RGS Graduate Student Travel Award promotes student involvement in their disciplines by partially funding travel costs associated with professional presentations at regional, national, and international conferences. Developing presentation skills is critical to the success of graduate students, and conference presentations represent the best opportunity for developing those skills. Professional presentations build professional skills--the nuts and bolts of communicating results to professional audiences--and provide outstanding career-building opportunities.
The purpose of this award is to support outstanding graduate studies at USU who have consistently shown a track record of excellence. We are redoing the application in order to make the award merit-based, as it has historically been need-based. We will provide further updates on these awards and their criteria in spring semester. Applications are due in the spring, 20 awards are given out.
The Graduate Student Senate Research and Projects Grant will be a grant intended for graduate students actively pursuing their graduate degree who can reasonably demonstrate financial need in performing the necessary research or purchasing the necessary materials to complete their degree. It will be available for masters' and doctoral candidates, with masters' candidates working towards a thesis or project report.
