It’s Friday night and you and your fellow graduate students want to get a bite to eat somewhere in town. Where are you going to go? Well, assuming you don’t have to debate too long about whether you want Mexican, Italian or Chinese, here are some great local restaurants that are sure to please!
Firehouse Pizzeria is sure to please with its pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads, but the most important part of any meal at Firehouse is the FH’zzookie. A FH’zzookie is a warm, gooey cookie topped with ice cream, hot fudge and caramel sauce. If you’re looking for a taste of heaven, this is it.
If you’re feeling like a local and want to try some Indian food, head to 1000 N. and 720 E. and eat at Tandoori Oven. Housed in a local gas station, the quality of the food and experience may surprise you. The food in this restaurant is incredible, however, and you’ve never tasted a better Chicken Tikka Masala.
Even Stevens Sandwiches
A sandwich shop with a cause, Even Stevens will donate to a local non-profit whenever you buy a sandwich. The non-profits benefiting in Cache Valley are Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse, the Cache Community Food Pantry and the Cache County Senior Citizens Center. So, grab a Sloppy Tina or JP Grilled Cheese and enjoy great food while supporting great local causes.
Only open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, Herm’s Inn is always packed with people looking for good food. Whether you’ve come for breakfast and want to enjoy the legendary Cinnamon Swirl Pancake or you’re there for lunch and want to try the Inside Out Grilled Cheese, you can’t go wrong whatever you order. Check out Herm’s and see what everyone’s talking about and waiting for.
The Black Pearl
Somewhat off the beaten path, The Black Pearl is worth a ten-minute drive north for great Chinese food. Whether you’re in the mood for pot stickers, sushi, fried rice or noodles, you’ll be well taken care of at the Black Pearl. Also, enjoy some fried ice cream to go. You’ll be glad you did.
