Russ Price, Utah State University’s federal compliance manager, has been selected as president of the Western Section of the Society of Research Administrators, International.

SRAI is a membership-based professional organization dedicated to the education and professional development of research administrators working in a variety of organizational settings. The Western Section of SRAI encompasses states from California to Texas. Each year, the organization holds a conference for its 4,000 members at locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“I am looking forward to leading the Western Section this year,” said Price. “Our focus will be on building our collaboration between research administrators in the academy and in industry.”

Price has experience serving in leadership positions of SRAI; he acted as president-elect last year. He will be installed as the Western Section president next month at the annual section meeting in San Francisco.

Price, along with many other research administrators from USU, has found that affiliation with SRAI brings the university greater depth of knowledge, and provides USU with a broad network of support that keeps it at the leading edge of research-related practices.
